Are you among the many people who have purchased CBD with really high hopes, but you were left feeling disappointed? You didn't experience the results that you'd hoped for. You aren't alone. Misinformation, inadequate education, and a profit -driven industry has left a lot of people feelings way, unsatisfied. Why does CBD work for some people and not others? Why didn't it work for you?

CBD has rightfully garnered a massive popularity for its health benefits, from managing pain to reducing anxiety, helping with hormones and improving sleep. But why doesn't it work for everyone? Today, we are diving into this so you can experience the healing powers of CBD, even if it hasn't worked for you in the past. And if you haven't tried CBD yet, but you're interested, this episode will be really helpful for you.

so you can experience the results you're looking for right from the get -go.

To understand why CBD works or doesn't work, it's important to learn about something called your endocannabinoid system.

This is a complex network of neurotransmitters and receptors found all throughout your body that are responsible for regulating your mood, your sleep, your appetite, pain sensation, and so much more. Your endocannabinoid system consists of three components. The first is endocannabinoids. These are neurotransmitters produced by your body that bind to cannabinoid receptors.

The second is just this, your cannabinoid receptors. These are located on the surface of cells throughout your body and your brain. The third is enzymes. These are responsible for breaking down cannabinoids after they have carried out their function. When your endocannabinoid system is functioning optimally, it helps maintain balance throughout your entire body.

but there are many factors that can disrupt your endocannabinoid system, leading you to imbalances that likely result in a disruption of your sleep, your mood, your appetite, your libido, your hormones, or your digestion. This is why people come to CBD. They want help with one of these areas. They're struggling with depression or anxiety or they're asleep or they are in a lot of chronic pain. They have inflammation throughout their body. They're

taking CBD to help with this, but they're not noticing a difference. So before we go into why you're not noticing a difference, why CBD isn't helping, let's talk about what causes the endocannabinoid system to become disrupted. Why does it get depleted? There are several contributors, stress and chronically high levels of cortisol and adrenaline.

processed foods, poor absorption of nutrients, lack of movement or fresh air, exposure to chemicals, toxins and herbicides, and some people even have genetic variations that affect how their endocannabinoid system functions. The unfortunate truth is that the majority of people are depleted. As a culture, we move so fast. We consume so much. Our stress levels are higher than ever before.

and we sleep less. We are expected to do so much and as a whole, we are all depleted. Unless we intentionally support balance. This is where CBD comes in. When you become depleted, you may experience symptoms like chronic pain, migraines, anxiety, sleep disorders, or maybe you don't bounce back to feeling like yourself after becoming a mother.

or after giving birth for the third or fourth time. Maybe you lack passion or inspiration. Maybe you can't focus and you feel unproductive. You aren't thriving. You feel that something is off. This is where CBD comes in. The way we can intentionally balance our endocannabinoid system is to incorporate CBD. When you have a deficiency though, this is a really, really important part. It can take

up to three months to replete your system. Three months of daily consistent use, which leads to the number one reason that many people don't experience the healing with CBD that they had hoped for. They don't know how to take it properly. This is why I offer balance CBD on subscription, because I want you to heal. I want it to work for you. And I know when something is

set up on automation, it just automatically ships to you every 30 days, you are much more likely to succeed. I want you to visualize your endocannabinoid system like your physical body. If you are out of shape, exercising every once in a while is not going to improve your fitness level. You can't just exercise on the days where you feel bloated.

You have to show up on the good days, on the hard days, and every day in between. It's the consistency over time that improves your physical shape. If you just take CBD when you have a migraine, it might help ease the edge, but it isn't going to help future migraines from coming on. If you just take it that one night that you're particularly restless, it isn't going to improve your sleep long term.

CBD is not an as needed supplement. The way it works is by replenishing your endocannabinoid system. And just like if you only drink water when you're really, really dehydrated, you're never going to be fully hydrated.

If you are ready to really commit, I'll be really honest here. Don't waste your time or money. Whether you are investing in MyBalance CBD or another brand, don't waste your time or money. It is not going to work because it is not an as needed supplement. Naturally derived CBD takes time. But if you give it that time, you will be

absolutely amazed. Like any wellness regimen, consistency fosters cumulative effects, allowing CBD to build up in your system. This is when CBD works. My family takes CBD every single day. We have done this for years because I know in our modern world with our exposure to chemicals, toxins, heavy metals, and pollutions, I want to do everything I can.

to proactively support us. We will take extra doses as needed, but we are not using CBD as needed. It is a daily supplement that is part of our daily life. We'll take extra doses as needed though when maybe one of my children is teething or going through a growth spurt. My husband will take it after he goes on a really long run or maybe after a stressful day.

I'll take it when my hormones are shifting. I find that in my luteal and menstruation phase, I thrive when I take an extra dose of balance. This has created a homeostasis in my family, meaning daily, we are steady. We are centered and we experience a calm and a peace within our home, daily.

Everyone is able to communicate really clearly, sleep soundly, and overall function beyond optimally. I attribute this to balance and also nurturing our gut bacteria with Cleanse and Nourish, but a huge part of it is balance. I first learned of CBD from my midwife when I was pregnant with my fourth baby, and it completely changed my birth experience.

It changed my postpartum journey and I have been able to completely get rid of all over the counter medications like Tylenol and ibuprofen. I have not given either of these to my kids in years. In place, I give them Balanced CBD.

the other reasons CBD doesn't always work. Well, not all CBD is the same. To start, there are three different forms of CBD. CBD isolate, full spectrum, and broad spectrum. CBD isolate is the most processed form of CBD, and it doesn't contain other beneficial

Compounds I personally would not take a CBD isolate. We're gonna go into this in just a minute about further reasons Why I wouldn't take CBD isolate full spectrum CBD Contains all the wonderful cannabinoids Turpenes and other beneficial compounds that the hemp plant has to offer But it also contains THC if you are in a phase of your life where you are, okay?

having THC, if you're not pregnant, you're not breastfeeding, you're not giving it to your children, full spectrum is a fine option as long as you trust your source. Broad spectrum contains all of these beautiful cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds of the hemp plant, but the THC has been removed. So this is what Balance CBD is. This is what I took while pregnant, while breastfeeding, what I've given my...

fourth baby since birth and what I've given my other three children for years, I created balance so that I could be absolutely certain that I was taking a broad spectrum CBD that was completely free of THC. We'll go into this more in a little bit too. Something you need to know is that there is natural CBD and synthetic. And as a consumer, there is no way for you to know what is in your bottle.

other than to trust where you are getting it from. CBD brands, myself, we are not required to put on the bottle if it is natural or synthetic. So you as a consumer, you don't know unless if you trust your source.

Natural CBD is derived from the hemp plant. And again, it contains all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds, with the exception of THC and broad spectrum CBD has been removed. All of these cannabinoids, terpenes, and compounds, they work synergistically to replenish your endocannabinoid system. On the other hand, synthetic cannabinoids are produced in a laboratory.

They simply do not support your body like natural CBD does. In fact, they are harmful. The reason I would not take a CBD isolate is because that is the most common form of synthetic CBD. The CBD market is inundated and like everything, not all CBD products are created equal.

Another reason your CBD may not have worked for you is because many, many fractures on top of there being synthetic CBD, they dilute natural CBDs with fillers that compromise the quality and the potency. The CBD industry is incredibly unregulated, which allows for inconsistencies in product labeling and misleading marketing claims. It is

so important to choose a brand that is transparent in where the hemp is grown. They perform and share their third party test results with you. And there shouldn't be more than two or three ingredients in your CBD.

In a future episode, I will be teaching you about how hemp is widely used for phyto remediation. How many CBDs are a by -product of this practice and are therefore bottles of concentrated toxins and heavy metals. Another reason it is so important to trust the brand that you use and to be quite honest, why I partnered with a manufacturer to create Balance because I could not find.

a brand that I trusted for my own family. To be really, really honest with you, it is really expensive and really challenging to carry CBD. My dream is that CBD becomes a very regulated industry and I can stop carrying it. I can send you to dozens of other brands that are trustworthy. But until that happens,

selfishly from my own family, I will continue carrying CBD because we have experienced such massive healing in our family and the homeostasis, the balance that we experience day to day, I never want to live another way again. And so I will jump through the hoops. I have to have special merchant processing. I have to pay massive fees on my website. It's really, really hard to

run a legitimate CBD business. I don't really want to be in this industry. I want to be a consumer of other trustworthy brands. But until we get there, I'll be here jumping through these hoops, sharing CBD. And

You can also look forward to an episode all about the THC in CBD, how balance is truly THC free and why this is so important, especially if you are a mother or you're giving it to your children or like my husband who is a recovering addict. Thank you for joining me today. I will be back next week.
