Follow Your Gut Podcast
Ever wish you had a mama friend in your back pocket who wasn't afraid to talk about poop, vaginal infections, skin rashes, behavioral issues and everything in between? Someone who speaks about common symptoms clearly and gives you natural ideas of how to actually heal from the root (hello gut bacteria!) instead of masking? And I am not talking about essential oils here. While those have their place, I am talking deeper stuff - like causes, prevention and finding overall balance. As a mama to four I have gone through the ups and downs of sleepless nights, undiagnosed symptoms, gotten the complete runaround from the medical system and have found a different way. This podcast will empower you to heal your family. New episodes will be released every Tuesday morning. They will be short enough that you can probably time them perfectly with your cold cup of coffee and dry shampoo routine. Make sure you are subscribed so you automatically get my latest episodes. Sending you a big mama hug!

How to Know When Your Gut is in Balance
Knowing when your child’s gut or your gut is in balance is a really important part of not only healing your body but also learning how to live in a state of absolute thriving.
Some people find their way here after years of struggling with symptoms, others with an appreciation of how significant the microbiome is and a desire to learn more. But the one thing everyone has in common is the questions they ask: “How will I know when I am in balance? How will I know when my gut is healed? How will I know when my child’s gut is fully balanced?”
The most important thing to know is that balancing your gut isn’t a destination. Your gut bacteria will forever naturally fluctuate but through rebalancing you get a baseline of what thriving is for you and what you can strive for. When you don’t rebalance and you don’t have a clear understanding of what homeostasis feels like in your body and you can go about your whole life in a state of disconnect or just getting by.
Your gut influences the way you think, the way you sleep and the way you interpret the world around you. It influences your skin, your hormones and your immune system. It influences the way your body digests food, how it absorbs nutrients and the foods you crave.
Tune in to learn more about the profound transformation that comes with balancing your gut and how to achieve and maintain this state for you and your family.

When you don’t rebalance and you don’t have a clear understanding of what balance feels like for you, you can go about your whole life in a state of disconnect and getting by.
Your gut influences the way you think, the way you sleep and the way you interpret the world around you. It influences your skin, your hormones and your immune system. It influences the way your body digests food, how it absorbs nutrients and the foods you crave.
Whenever I am asked “how will I know when my gut is in balance?” my answer is always the same. You will just know. You won’t wonder. You will know with everything in you because everything will be different. Being in balance isn’t a subtle experience. Even if you are moving from a minor imbalance to balance, it is profound.
The most measurable difference is that all of your symptoms of imbalance will be gone. Your sleep will be deeper than ever before. You will find a deep sense of contentment in your soul. Your mind will slow and the inner peace you experience is something you have likely never experienced before. Your poops will be regular and in a nice soft but solid form. There won’t be an acidic or pungent smell. Your mood will be stable and your hormones balanced. Your skin will be clear of acne and rashes and your immune system will be strong. Most profound of all your brain will function more optimally than you likely remember. New passions will be born and a deep clarity of your life purpose will slam itself right in front of you and you won’t be able to run from it. You will feel alive.
For your child, all the same. They will sleep deeply, their behavior will align with who you know they are, they will have a new ability to focus and you will notice a calmness that comes from deep within them. They will feel content in their body. Their food cravings will be different as the good bacteria will have the ability to communicate clearly to their brain and they will crave nourishing foods. Their immune system will be strong and if they do catch a cold, it will result in them feeling tired rather than completely wiped out. But you will notice that they stop catching every single bug that comes through town. Their poops will be daily and won’t have that sour smell to them. Their skin will be clear and soft, and overall you will know that you have your child back. They will likely experience a huge developmental leap whether with their speech, potty training or ability to concentrate on their school work. You will know.
Life will feel easy. It is so hard to explain but you will experience a simplicity where everything comes with ease. Go listen to episode 106 to learn more about the abundance that comes when your gut is in balance.
Another really neat way to know is the supplement Cleanse that is in the Women’s and Children’s Gut Rebalance Kits will taste like water. Gut bacteria imbalances impact your body's pH level. So when you have an imbalance you will taste the alkalinity of Cleanse. But when your gut is balanced your pH level will be optimal and Cleanse will taste like water.
When you are evaluating yourself or your child it is important to use yourself as your baseline. Maybe you have never experienced balance before. Maybe your child was born with an imbalance and you don’t know their baseline. This is okay. As a woman and mother you have a powerful intuition and as you rebalance you will become really clear with your own and your child’s baseline. All of our personalities are different and yours will shine.
Something that is really important to know is that some people find balance with just one gut rebalance kit while others need to do multiple back to back rebalances. Something to keep in mind is that the majority of the population has an imbalance of some severity, whether they know it or not and when you rebalance you will feel the transformation. Come back and use this episode as a guide to knowing when you reach a place of balance. Don’t let your head get in the way and settle with symptoms. Allow yourself to fully heal. It doesn’t matter how many rebalances or how long it takes. Hold your unwavering commitment tightly and give yourself time to get there. And once you get to this place of balance, be ready because you will be a new version of yourself. Your child will be a new being.
But remember, once you get to this place, you will need to maintain it. Balance isn’t a destination that you stay in forever. It is something you work for and once you get there the work to maintain it becomes easy because living in a state of balance is so blissful you will never want to go back. Your gut bacteria will fluctuate and you will learn exactly how to bring it back into balance. Soon your new state of existence, your new normal will be living in balance and you will become really aware of any subtle shift in your microbiome so you can bring yourself right back.
Stay tuned for an upcoming episode on how to maintain your newfound balance. Until then, keep going with your rebelance. Keep pushing through and don’t give up too early. The only way this balance that we have talked about today won’t happen is if you don’t give it enough time. Commit, trust the process and never waver in your belief of what is possible for you and your family.
